Abstract

The radial axial rolling technology is a kind of plastic forming technology which uses the ring rolling equipment to produce the continuous local deformation of the large ring parts, so that the diameter of the ring blank becomes larger, the wall thickness of the ring blank becomes thinner, the thickness of the ring blank becomes smaller and the sectional contour becomes smaller.As this process has many outstanding advantages, it has attracted the attention of various fields.Now, however, the main research in the research of radial axial rolling can only be based on large ring making equipment, which not only increases the cost of research, but also increases the difficulty of the experiment.Therefore, the construction of a three-dimensional rolling ring machine model have great significance for the study of ring rolling. So in this paper based on the ring rolling theory is proposed to calculate the radial hole conditions of rolling force and structure parameters design of ring rolling machine and various components, finally establish a without interference of radial axial ring rolling mill model in UG.

Chapter1: Introduction

1. purpose and significance

Bearing is a basic component widely used in machinery operation, and its manufacturing technology reflects the capability and level of a country's mechanical manufacturing.The bearing is mainly composed of bearing ring, rolling element and cage[4].The bearing ring is the largest in size, weight and manufacturing cost, which directly determines the performance and life of the bearing.The bearing ring is made in the traditional machining process by turning and other machines,Its production process is: raw material - forging - annealing - turning - quenching - tempering - grinding.Such processing technology is not only time-consuming, waste materials, low production efficiency, high cost, and the quality of the ring produced is not high, far from meeting the requirements of high-performance bearings.Radial- axial rolling technology is an advanced molding technology, which belongs to a special kind of processing technology.The rolling technology of bearing ring is to make the thickness of ring blank thinner, increase the diameter and change the height of the ring blank, and finally obtain the plastic processing technology of the ring product,Bearing ring rolling technology is also an advanced technology for forming high performance bearings internationally.The process has the advantages of low production cost, wide variety of products and high work efficiency.It is widely used in machinery, automobile, aerospace and other fields,The process becomes the processing method for various kinds of high quality seamless rings, such as bearing rings, gear rings, wheel hubs and the like,Its future development trend is the development of large ring rolling technology, high-speed, precision ring rolling technology, complex ring rolling and flexible ring rolling technology and ring rolling process intelligent control system.However, at present, the quality of rolling ring forming is affected by various parameters such as rolling force, rolling torque, motor power, linear feed speed and rotational rolling speed.There is no doubt that a qualified ring mill can effectively produce high-quality rolling rings.Therefore, the rational design of ring rolling machine's various parameters is the key problem in the design of ring rolling mill.Now, however, many manufacturers have to rely on experience to test rolling production repeatedly to obtain better ring rolling equipment,But this is not only a great waste of material and energy and production of the ring is easy to appear the wallet, sag, ellipse macro defects and band structure and mixed grain and coarse grain micro defects, seriously restrict the further development and application of ring rolling process.Therefore, we plan to establish a three-dimensional model of ring rolling machine.In the three-dimensional model, the effect of rolling ring machine's working parameters on rolling ring is studied in the process of bearing rolling.Then, the deformation of ring rolling ring is recorded and analyzed, we hope to sum up the influence of various parameters of ring rolling mill on the change of the semi-finished parts in the process of ring rolling,This can help the design of ring rolling machine, and then improve the actual production quality and efficiency of rolling ring.

2.The Research Status at Home and Abroad

In the middle of the nineteenth Century, the rapid development of the railway transport industry greatly increased the transportation speed and load of the train and other transportation machinery.so these machines have improved the requirements for wheel and ring equipment.In order to meet the demand of high performance ring in railway transportation industry,The British built the world's first radial-axial ring rolling mill for the production of train wheels and strake.The radial axial ring mill solves the large demand for the wheel and tire of the railway industry. Therefore, the ring rolling technology has developed with the railway technology and transportation, and has been widely used in other fields.rolling technology has many advantages,such as high utilization ratio of material, good product quality, less energy consumption and fast production speed,Therefore, many scholars and enterprises around the world have conducted in-depth research on radial-axial rolling ring equipment, in order to improve the existing axial axial rolling equipment, thus they can roll more fine high-performance rings.China's bearing industry development in 1960s,Although the development period is late, and in the early stages , our state can only introduce ring mill from other countries,Then ,many scholars of China have learned, digested and absorbed the ring mill principles and structures,Now,The production technology of ring rolling mill in our country has reached the advanced level in the world.

According to the processing temperature of the ring blank, the rolling ring method can be divided into cold rolling ring and hot rolling ring,so ring rolling equipment can also be divided into cold rolling ring equipment and hot rolling ring equipment.cold rolling ring equipment is only suitable for producing ring with smaller size (lower than 220mm),but the cold rolling technology of bearing ring is an irreplaceable forming technology in the production of high performance bearing ring.The design and research of cold rolling ring equipment in foreign countries are relatively early.The UWRA series and RIWA2 series developed by BADDBEN company in Germany and Dresden University have typical features.This kind of ring rolling equipment has the characteristics of reasonable layout, compact structure, multi axis linkage and little error.In our country, the research of cold rolling ring machine mainly depends on the foreign cold rolling ring machine.There is a gap between the research level of domestic cold rolling ring equipment and the level of foreign research,but,now, China has made a series of important achievements in the field of cold ring rolling equipment.Compared with cold rolling ring equipment, the processing range of hot rolling ring equipment is relatively large, and its processing dimension can range from 45mm to 1200mm.However, the rolling rings produced by hot rolling ring technology can not meet the requirement of high performance ring organization quality.Compared to the cold rolling ring equipment, the research and production level of the hot rolling ring equipment in China is relatively mature, and its research level has reached a relatively advanced level in the world.Wuhan University of Technology and zhangjiagang sea ring forging company and Ji'nan Dongli CNC machinery company has developed ultra large seamless ring radial axial rolling forming technology.They have produced ultra large CNC radial-axial ring rolling equipment RAM9000.This equipment is machine, electricity, liquid integration, can meet the needs of different ring rolling.

The present research at home and abroad shows that the future development trend of bearing ring rolling equipment tends to be large-scale, precision ring rolling, complex ring rolling and ring rolling process automation and intelligentization.

3 research contents and research methods

3.1 research contents

Combined with the existing radial axial rolling equipment to understand and be familiar with the principle of ring rolling rolling process, and the structure of radial axial ring rolling equipment on design. Then according to the theory of mechanics, material mechanics and other knowledge as the basis to calculate the radial mechanical condition and reasonable design of the rolling equipment parts. Finally, using the UG 3D modeling software to construct the radial bearing testing machine model.

3.2 research methods

  1. Understand the working principle and structure of radial shaft rolling ring machine, master the theory of rolling knowledge, familiar with the manufacturing process of bearing ring.
  2. Using the above knowledge, the design and calculation of force and energy parameters of the bearing ring axial rolling test machine are carried out.
  3. In the traditional structure based on the ring rolling machine, and then use the data and knowledge structure of ring rolling were calculated for bearing ring radial axial rolling machine feed system structure and guide system design. Finally, in the modeling software of bearing ring diameter parts axial rolling test machine is modeled, and then assemble on the analysis of the motion of the roller.

Chapter2:Rolling principle and advantages of radial axial ring rolling mill

2.1Main components of radial axial rolling equipment

The radial axial rolling ring machine mainly consists of main roll , mandrel,upper axial roll, lower axial roll ,centering roll , electronic control system, feeding system and supporting structure. the structure is shown in Figure 2.1.In the rolling process, the components move independently and cooperate with each other at the same time.

  1. main roll

The main roller is fixed on the frame and rotates actively under the drive of the motor. The rolling force is provided during the rolling of the ring blank, and the rotation of the ring blank is driven.

  1. Mandrel

The core rod is arranged on the core rod plate, and in the rolling process, the servo motor drives the core rod through a ball screw rod to do a linear feeding motion in the radial direction, and the core rod is driven and rotated at the same time by the friction force of the ring blank.
