1. Introduction

The origin, formation and development of Chinese and English are both influenced by natural condition, geographical location, social history, traditional custom and etc. All these difference make a huge gap between these two languages, which also hinders the translation#8217;s development. Especially, idiom, which has very specific meanings, makes a key role in both languages. The differences of idioms reflect the difference of culture, history and location among countries. So it is significantly important to understand what makes the translation of idiom so difficult. Of course, there are so many articles trying to analyze this problem in different perspectives.
