Ernest Hemingway is the acknowledged representative writer of the Lost Generation. With the publication of The Sun Also Rises in 1929, Hemingway became the spokesman for what Stein had called ”a lost generation”. Thus combining the introduction of Hemingway and his work The Sun Also Rises with the analysis of the Lost Generation can help the readers have a more concrete and visualized understanding of the disillusioned young generation and their works after World War I.
