This paper mainly focuses on a constrastive study of All men are brotherstranslated by Pearl S. Buck and Outlaws of the Marshby S. Shapiro from the aspect of metaphorical expressions. Metaphorical expressions, one of the most distinguished linguistic features in the novel All men are brothers, is worthy of attention. Two distinguished translators, as mentioned on the above, treated them differently. The paper is meant to shed light on the difference of translating metaphors, and to see their choices over metaphorical form or meaning.
