thispaper aims to analyze the relationship between psychological capital andlearning burnout among english majors. psychological capital (psycap) is an individual’spositive psychological state of development characterized by: hope,resilience, optimism, and efficacy. the learning burnout was composed of threecomponents that are dejection, improper behavior and reduced personalaccomplishment. psycap has a direct impact on the learning burnout of englishmajors. and thispaper is of certain practical significance for english majors to strengthenpsychological capital and prevent the learning burnout. in addition, it alsoprovides some instructional suggestions for english teachers to improve the situationof students’ learning burnout.
