1.目的及意义

"Heart of beauty in everyone." This proverb says: Beauty is the most universal value of human beings. In the real world, no value can be widely recognized like "beauty." Although beauty has differences in nationality, class, and time, etc, the pursuit of beauty is the common interest of the entire human race. Beauty is an undisputed fact. From nature of man, love and need of beauty is an instinct. Human innately has a nature of pursuing beauty. However, “innate inherent” can only be the nature of “self-transcendence”, and does not indicate the source of the superhuman and surreal. Specifically, the realistic basis of the so-called “innate nature” is “practical nature”, that is, the nature of human existence and the nature of activities. In this way, the spirit of human pursuit of “beauty” is the embodiment of human nature, and this nature is generated and embodied in human practice.

This article will analyze the meaning of the “beauty” image represented by the young Tadzio himself in Death in Venice from the perspective of aesthetics. Combined with the aesthetic knowledge. It is further analyzed the influence of Tadzio, the young boy, and the life of Aschenbach trapped in the darkness.

Death in Venice is a famous work by Thomas Mann. The work spreads the ancient Greek Aeschy-style classical tragedy spirit, describing the passion of a writer who broke out after meeting the young boy in Venice; his rationality, dignity and knowledge is defeated in the pursuit of beauty. After the advent of the novel, many writers have analyzed this novel more or less, like in two texts, three artists and a theme - from the novel Death in Venice and the movie. In the modern dilemma of creation, the author combines the novel to analyze the real dilemma of Thomas Man himself. In Typical and Mythical Thomas Mann's Death in Venice, the author affirmed the literary status of Thomas Mann’s work. There are also some articles are from the aesthetic point of view of the death of Venice, such as the Death of Narrative Aesthetics and Gender Identity Dilemma and Death in Venice: the Entanglement Between Beauty and Reason. This article will analyze the influence of Tadzio’s image on the protagonist’s forgetful life and death in the novel from the aesthetic point of juvenile imagery.

The West has pursued the “beauty” for more than two thousand years, and has its own complete system and context. However, China’s concern about “beauty” started very late compared to the West, and it was also directly caused by the introduction of Western aesthetic thoughts. In the process of exploring the essence of beauty, Chinese theoretical circles have always used Western standards to understand “beauty” and to use conceptualized and abstract words to stipulate “beauty.” In a certain sense, it can have “beauty” in a certain sense—the specific “beauty” is not the essence of beauty. The phenomenon of beauty can be felt by people’s senses, but the essence of beauty is to be reflected and understood with the soul.
