1. 研究目的与意义(文献综述)
the paper tries to analyze the current training modes of english major, such as the objective of talents training, curriculum provision, construction of teaching material and teaching staff, teaching method and means, teaching evaluation and so on.through doing the theoretical research and studying related research paper, and considering the changing concept of talents cultivation with time, the paper tries to discuss the current cultivation mode of the college english major, analyze the advantages of the various teaching methods and modes. in order to provide some reference for the process of college english talents training and promote the sound development of english talent training and improve the quality of english talents training.
research of educational theories started early in foreign countries and developed fast with policy support. for examples, in america,education and foreign language education worked together and drawn up “standards for foreign language learning in the 21st century”, which demands that the teaching content shall cover not only language and culture, but also the communication strategy, ability of thinking, modern technology, etc. in the united kingdom, language teaching is required to meet the needs of social development, so more attentions are paid to training students’ abilities to analyze and solve problems. recently in japan, the government, industry and academehave reached consensus to attach more importance on the reform of language education, especially the english language. in 2000 and 2002, the japanese ministry of educationreleased two documents to promote the reform of english teaching.
· domestic research almost focuses on the exploration of english talenttraining, especially on the design of talent cultivation system. in recent years, some research papers discuss the mode of english talent training. the scholars such as peng ping, in her paper “reflections on the training mode of english compound talents in teaching”, she points out the difference between “english language major” and “major english language”, and further discusses the english course arrangement and its attribution in the inter-disciplinary modeof talent cultivation. wang yanyan at el. put forward some suggestions in the “investigation and enlightenment of the demand and training mode of business english majors”. in her opinion, teachers should be of teaching and business working experience, teaching materials shall be timeliness and full of examples, andthe case study shall be adopted in teaching. in the paper “the ‘one-entity-two-wing’ approach to english major construction—— a case study of sisu”, liao qiaoyun, wang lunan and chen rupingtake sichuan international studies university as example to discuss the reformative and constructive idea of “one body two wings” which means english majors should be trained with language ability and other subjective knowledge in order to meetthe needs of talents.
2. 研究的基本内容与方案
The paper will study the characteristics of the current English training mode in colleges and universities. The English education model will do the analysis of teacher education,the curriculum setting, extracurricular activitiesand training objectivesin colleges and universities.The paper does the comparison of the training mode of English talents as well. In the conclusion, the paper gives its views on the effect of the outstanding characteristics of English talents training, which can be used for further research of the reasons for English Major Talents.
· This study mainly uses the following three research methods: firstly, Literature review. The paper will extensively collect and study the literature on the cultivation of English Majors. Secondly, Survey method. The paper will do the survey of the current cultivation of English majors in different universities. Thirdly, Comparative study method. This study compares knowledge structure, the training pattern, the cultivation of abilities for innovations, the upgrading of abilities to handle practicalities, teacher education, and educational management in Wuhan university of technology and other universities. On this basis, this paper will give the readers some enlightenment of reform of English majors, and also the way to meetthe needs of talents and globalization.
