with the development of globalization, the international communication and cooperation become more and more frequent, which demands people of strengthening their intercultural awareness in order to avoid misunderstanding and misinterpretation in cross-cultural communication. emphasizing intercultural education and cultivating intercultural awareness and competence help to increase students#8217; sense of identity with different cultures and promote communication with different languages and culture. in fact, intercultural education of english teaching in primary school is usually ignored, which affects the students#8217; appropriateness of english communication, interest in english and mode of thinking. therefore, how to strengthen students#8217; intercultural awareness into english teaching in primary schools is a topic that is worth considering.

2. 研究的基本内容、问题解决措施及方案

major research methods will include document research, contrast, and combination of theoretical research and text study.

1). document research. a document research is the process of reading, analyzing, evaluating, and summarizing scholarly materials about a specific work. the author of the thesis has looked up in many libraries some background information, including the contrast theory,the intercultural awareness cultivation in primary school spoken english teaching, and previous studies on the intercultural awareness cultivation in primary school spoken english teaching

2). contrast. it refers to the logical method of comparing two things in order to show their similarities and differences, which is a major strategy in text analysis. the thesis will make a lot of comparisons and contrasts in the literature review so as to highlight the initiation and distinctiveness of the present study. in the main body of the thesis, contrast will be widely made in the analysis of similarities and sub versions of the document.
